Last night, at approximately 4:20 a.m., a driver noticed a violent run off the road on Hwy 315 and stopped to check if anyone was at the scene. Upon checking, witness noticed a man trapped underneath the vehicle and contacted emergency services.
The firefighters were able to extricate the man from his unfortunate position. The man was transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Blood samples were taken as elements of the investigation suggest that alcohol may have been a factor in the rollover. The victim, a 46 year old male from Thurso, is reportedly in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
