Yesterday, November 2, during a speed enforcement operation in the 50 km/h zone on Pierre-Laporte Road, a 17 year old driver from Gatineau was caught driving at 96 km/h.
The driver was issued a $541 fine and 10 points and his probationary licence was suspended for 7 days. It should be noted that the driver had just received his probationary licence the day before.
A parent came to the scene to pick up the car. This driver was not the only one to be stopped for speeding since 4 other people were also caught driving at 75-76-80 and 82 km/h. The cost of living is expensive enough right now, so slow down to save money!
