The MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais Public Security Service confirms that the body found in the Gatineau River in Chelsea on May 12 has been identified as Mr. Robert Vachon, 59, of Cantley.
He had been missing since March 9, and we feared for his safety. The investigation revealed that the victim had not been the victim of a crime. His truck had been found near the Gendron covered bridge in the Wakefield sector, and a search had even been launched with the help of divers and a Sûreté du Québec helicopter.
