Chelsea, November 14, 2022 – At the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais staff recognition ceremony held on Thursday, November 10, Mr. Yves Charette, former Director of the MRC des Collines Public Security Department, was decorated for his 40 years of distinguished service in the police force.

The ceremony took place at the Wakefield Community Centre in the municipality of La Pêche, in the presence of Mr. Marc Carrière, Warden of the MRC des Collines, Mr. Benoît Gauthier, Director General of the MRC des Collines and Mr. Martial Mallette, Director of the MRC’s Public Security Department. Also present was Mr. Patrick Lalonde, advisor to the ADPQ.

The award recognizes police officers who have served in an exemplary manner, behaved impeccably, and performed their duties with dedication and efficiency.

Charette served as director of the MRC des Collines Public Safety Department from 2017 to May 2022. Prior to this position, Mr. Charette was with the Lévis Police Department and before that with the Montreal Police Department, an organization where he had a 30-year career.
