On Saturday, June 3, our Operational Support Unit officers patrolled the l’Ange-Gardien ATV trail in the company of members of the Club quad de l’Outaouais and the Fédération. Despite the fine weather, it was a low-traffic day, but 13 interpellations were carried out and a few fines issued. Several warnings were also issued concerning mandatory documents and missing equipment. It should be noted that use of the trail is reserved exclusively for ATVs and side-by-side vehicles, and not for dirt bikes.
Also, on Saturday June 3, at around 8:20 p.m., a 57-year-old man from La Pêche was stopped by police after being seen driving his off-road vehicle on a public road. When checked, the man was not wearing a helmet, had a sanctioned driver’s license and the ATV was also prohibited. In short, he received a total of $1,666 in fines.
