CATÉGORIES

At around 6:45 this morning, a school bus driver on Edelweiss Road in La Pêche narrowly avoided a head-on collision with a motorist who was driving in the wrong lane.

It should be noted that no children were on the bus at the time of the incident.

Following a call to the police, our officers were able to quickly locate and intercept the driver in the village of Wakefield.

The 41-year-old from La Pêche was arrested and is expected to be charged with drug-impaired driving. Her vehicle was towed and her driver’s license suspended.

The MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais public security service urges anyone witnessing an incident of erratic or dangerous driving to quickly call 911 to report it. We’ll take care of the rest!
