Who doesn’t know someone who has cancer, or who has suffered from it? We’re convinced that many people have been touched by cancer in one way or another, and that’s why Constable Francis Éthier-Skelhorn of the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais public security service will not only shave his head, but will also donate his long hair to make a prosthesis that will enable someone to preserve a certain dignity during the fight against the disease.

The idea stems from the fact that his own niece, who is 16 years old, is still battling cancer, and it is for this reason that he wants to pay tribute to her by organizing this event, which will take place on Monday, October 2 at 10:00 a.m. at the Public Security headquarters. It’s worth mentioning that Constable Éthier-Skelhorn, who has been growing his hair for over two years, is not only very excited about this initiative, but is also looking forward to getting a whole new haircut.

Profits and hair from this fundraiser will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) Foundation.
