On Friday, November 22, at around 5:30 p.m., a 26-year-old driver was arrested for impaired driving after colliding with the new turnabout on chemin Old Chelsea. Police officers in the area witnessed the event and were able to quickly provide assistance to the driver and his passenger. The driver was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries and to provide samples of his blood. The driver involved was driving a borrowed vehicle and was required to be driving with an ignition interlock device for alcohol, which he was not. The driver’s license was suspended, and he will have to appear in court at a later date.
