CATÉGORIES

On January 28, at around 12:10 a.m., a witness called the police to report an incident in the Spa Le Nordik parking lot.

According to the witness, the driver attempted to skid, but ended up stuck in a snow bank. When police arrived, the 29-year-old Ottawa man, who was showing symptoms of impairment, was arrested and taken to the police station to provide breath samples that confirmed his blood alcohol level was over the legal limit.

It should be noted that the driver had no valid driver’s license and was also wanted by Mont-Tremblant authorities for an unpaid fine.

Two fines were issued to the driver, totalling over $1,000 and 4 points. The owner of the vehicle also received a $504 fine for allowing the vehicle to be driven by an unlicensed driver, and had her vehicle seized for 30 days.
