A head-on collision occurred this morning at around 06:40 on Hwy 105 in the Alonzo Bridge area. Sadly, a 68-year-old Gatineau man was killed. He was travelling southbound when he suddenly changed lanes and collided with an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, a 53-year-old Gatineau woman, sustained minor injuries. Investigators are still trying to determine the causes and circumstances of this fatal collision, but several hypotheses are already being considered, including a medical problem.
PUBLIC APPEAL: Police detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating drivers who were travelling southbound at the same time as the collision. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Alexandre Tessier at 819-459-2422 – ext. 4207.
