The Service de la Sécurité de la MRC des Collines-de-L’Outaouais is asking for the public’s help in locating Karsten Richer, 33, of Val-des-Monts. He is still at large following a police intervention yesterday, May 23, in the St-Pierre-de-Wakefield area.

At around 10:00 a.m. on May 23, police officers responded to a complaint of domestic violence at a residence on Route Principale, but by the time they arrived, the suspect had fled into the forest behind the residence, prompting an intensive search of the area for part of the day, even involving the Sûreté du Québec canine unit.

According to new information and further searches, Richer may still be in the area, moving about on foot, possibly shirtless and wearing a pair of shorts.

Anyone who can help authorities locate this person is asked to call 819-459-9911 or 1-888-459-9911, or 911 in the event of an emergency.

There is no indication that this person may harm others, but as a precaution and if seen, please contact the police quickly and pass on the information.
