The long weekend is not over yet and our police officers have already made three (3) arrests for impaired driving. The latest arrest occurred this morning, May 22nd at approximately 5:10 a.m. on Highway 105 in La Pêche. The driver, a man from North Bay, Ontario, in his early twenties, drove off the road. He was transported to hospital where a blood test was performed.
On May 21st, around noon, on the Principale road in La Pêche, Masham sector, a 31 year old driver from Gatineau was involved in an accident with a parked vehicle. He was arrested and in this case, a blood test was also necessary.
On May 19, at approximately 12:30 a.m., a 27 year old male from Montreal was pulled over for speeding in Chelsea. During the stop, the driver failed an alcohol test and was arrested. The driver was also issued several fines.
