Publié le 21 mars 2011

PRESS RELEASE Chelsea, March 21st, 2011 The MRC held a public consultation on March 15th, 2011 at 19:00 in École Secondaire des Lacs, located at 32 Passe-Partout Road in La Pêche, Quebec. This consultation dealt with the search for potential sites and on the detailed analysis of two sites completed as part of the septic tank sludge treatment centre project presently under study by the MRC. CIMA+ began the evening by presenting the content of its progress report and the citizens were then invited to table their submissions, ask questions and share their comments. Over 250 citizens attended the meeting and, of those, 31 people spoke or tabled one of the 12 submissions registered that evening. Citizens, who so desire, have until March 25th, 2011 to send their comments or to table a submission to Mr. Patrick Laliberté by e-mail ( or by mail to (MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais, 216 Old Chelsea Road, Chelsea, Quebec J9B 1J4). After that date, a consultation report with all the questions and comments expressed orally or in writing by the public will be produced, presented at the mayors' table for discussion and approval and will subsequently be made public. Based on the consultation report and on the progress report tabled by CIMA+, the MRC's Mayors' Council will then choose the final site and seek the permits and authorizations required for the implementation of its future septic tank sludge treatment centre. The MRC would like to thank all the participants as well as the media representatives.
