CATÉGORIES

The 239th graduating class of police officers graduated on February 24. For this event, the ceremony was presided over by Mr. Martial Mallette, Director of the Service de la sécurité publique MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais.

Not only does the presence of our director to preside over such an event have a particular and flattering aspect, but the occasion also lent itself to another tradition of the National Police School where police parents hand over to their offspring their graduation certificate.

During this ceremony, Lieutenant Josée Forest, from the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais Public Security Service, had the pleasure of presenting her daughter, Jade Legros, with her graduation certificate. Jade, who had already been working for the SPMDC since 2020 as a dispatcher at the Emergency Call Centre, is now a police officer and may be working on the same team as her mother. It is not uncommon for fathers or mothers to give a certificate to their son, but for a mother to give it to her daughter is much rarer.

Josée Forest, Jade’s mother: “I am very proud to have passed on my passion to my daughter. Jade’s heart is filled with goodwill. I am not worried at all about the positive impact she will have on the citizens of the MRC des Collines.

Congratulations to both of you!
